Thanks again man,

If I could afford to go get an FQ400 lol I can wish right
the only thing I can say is DO NOT BE AFRAID TO LOW BALL....... especially from a dealer, the worst they can say is no. Times are tough, say it's to expensive and see what they say. I can only wish I was in the market for an evo now,....I would make them sell it to me. lol

By all means, imma low ball the hell out of them. I'll get it for 17500-18000 at most,
No reason in paying 23 for one with 34k miles, mine had 37k and was still worth 23k so I mean I'm not going to pay clean retail, I'll pick it up for MSRP or 4k under book price,
They dont have to sell and I don't have to buy, but imma use all sorts of **** and there gonna be like wtf did he just say lol

What's the acd do and how many miles are on the recur. Pipe lol umm well umm haha I already see how it's gonna play out,
What's a 4G63??? Lol I can't wait man

[quote=akeric;9472165]I can give you a hand with it this weekend. Its not that big of a job. There are only really two bolts that are a pain to get to. I would recommend unbolting the turbo or just the hotside and dropping it out of the bottom of the car. I did the ol' take the radiator out and do it on the car, it was a pain in the *** because the rear bolt for the o2 housing is just so hard to get a socket or wrench on. Next time I'm taking the turbo or hotside off for sure. Also be warned that if you are on your factory o2 sensor it probably will not come out so you might want to source a new one. I couldn't get mine out and the car only had 24k miles on it.

To be honest now that I"m thinking about it $200 doesn't sound like that bad of a deal. lol.quote]

Hey thanks for the invite. It's for my wideband O2 though. The DP doesn't have a location for it, but if i remember.......... my cat could be turned around w/ the bung fwd of the cells (just haven't got under there to look), but it is on my to-do list.

I hope i never have to touch the front .......... even with the new housing sitting on the shelf.

somebody bought it, no idea who, would have been nice if I had known it was up for auction I would have been all over that for my 5spd swap. Also looks like I'm going to go with TRE Transmission for my built 5spd.

Still not sure about the clutch, as planning on the quartermaster but am no so sure anymore.

TRE rebuilt my 5 speed and Shep did my t-case.

I did the stage 2 with Evo 9 first gear exchange with TRE and did the Shep Stage 2.

Your tranny and t-case ate **** already?

Neither are bad yet, I got s fp black and figured I would build the bottom end on it this winter so in the spring I'm not wasting time fixing them. I am def in for a meet on 8-13 I'll make sure I don't work.

I'm down, let me know if you need anything brought.

Also as far as the TRE trans, mine is a little more expensive simply because he is charging me for the core (since I don't have one) after looking at it I decided my money would go further with TRE. I am getting a built 5spd with the evo ix 1st 2nd and 5th, evo viii 3rd and 4th, 4.11 final drive, heavy duty 1st gear bearing, shot peening, rem isf polishing, this is all brand new internals the only thing used is the case, (which will be bead blasted and nice and shiny). I will be paying about $100 more than it would cost me to have shep use a new transmission (same gears), no 4.11 final drive, no hd 1st gear bearing, no shot peening, and no isf polishing.

After talking to shep on the phone he really killed my efforts to find a 5spd core because he told me many of them have massive problems anyway and can end up costing more if they have to replace gears etc.

Once I got TRE on the phone and a price was quoted my decision was pretty much made.

I'm going to do the trans and clutch now and then probably rearrange the clutches in the rear diff, I'll wait on building the transfer case until I get a whine and then get the upgraded ring and pinion.

TRE is awesome. My rear diff is amazing. John is really cool and does great work as well.

Why are you going with the 5 speed? You haven't broke the 6 speed have you?
