That is kinda what I expected...I am thinking about doing a slightly smaller battery instead of a true mini. I have been reading about the miata batteries. Thinking of going that route.

Why risk the chance of an inadequate battery for a few pounds? Just re-route your battery to the trunk. You get better weight distribution & thermal insulation there too.

If its strictly for weight savings and not because of ic piping routing, spend the money on a lithium ion battery, they're 5lbs. But they're about twice the price though.

if you make sure that you get proper gauge wire, nice inline fuses, and take your time and be patient then it is not very difficult to do.

I did the mini bc if u run the battery in the trunk our local racetrack makes you have a kill switch for that battery so that's why iI went mini bc I only ever drag raced the car and didn't want a bulky kill switch on the trunk lid.

Is anyone in this thread selling this 8? I found it on CL, and just wanted clarity on the price. Seems a little high for an 8.

Yeah that's my evo. I priced it based on what I've seen some go for here. If a stock 03 evo can go for 18,7 then why cant my fully custom painted, modded, etc go for more?

Plus I don't really want to sell it since I love it. I've put a lot o hard work into it and I'm proud of what it became.

Not sure if the demand is there. I don't mind keeping it as well. If I decide to keep it ill be changing the turbo and manifold so if anyone is looking for a BBK Full ported turbo anytime soon lmk?

Probably won't be an issue to find someone willing to buy it for that. Most banks won't go that high over book on a loan tho. If your not in a hurry to sell then let it ride.

Wasn't this a totaled or wrecked silver evo 8? If so, its a bit misleading to say clean title if its been repaired. I remember you posted numerous pics of the damage on other forums.

No that was a 2006 Evo 9 that was t boned. I sold that to someone from California. Mine is a 2003 Evo 8 with a clean title and clean carfax. I basically took all the go fast goodies off of the 9 and put it into mine.

I've posted pics of my car when it was getting fenders rolled, and before the paint job. I didn't like the silver and decided to redo it slice I had a close friend that was willing to do it.
