I think its more of a "enthusiast" club, than just a club with Evos.....
I think the STI's are cool, except the fact that the SAAB guy designing the new one ruined the front end!!!!!!!! but the car still performs.........

but if you guys are a EVO`s only group your numbers wont be as high in the amount of people that show up.

lol... no i am not offended at all. there are lots of haters of the 06`s. doesnt bother me a bit. i like it, that is all that matters to me.

It makes sense for Evos and STIs to be friendly -- they're two of a kind, the "rally twins" against the rest of the world.

'Tis one of those things... once you see it in person, and especially once you own one, the front end kinda grows on you. And I believe the designer came from Alfra Romeo, not SAAB .

I think "community wise" Evo's are far superior then the STI community.

So in the long run i am glad it is an evo only thing.

^^^ Ditto, the EVO community is 100% better than the STI, but we look at it as a Suby community. so we get all sorts of enthusiast`s.

I think it's great for the Evo's to have a "nw evolution club" and I don't think it's a big deal if it's only for evo's. Just like I'm sure there are sti only clubs and celica only clubs and sentra only clubs and blah blah blah. Doesn't mean evolutionm.net is only for evo owners, it's just aimed towards evo's. I don't think it's fair to say that evos are better then sti's. It all lies in what you look for in a car and how your judging the car. I know it's crazy but I'm sure there are honda civic owners that think their cars are the best, just cuz thats what they want in a car. I look at evo's and sti's as pretty much the same thing performance wise (their really close), but they look alot different on the outside....to me... It's all in peoples opinions. If the nw evo club wants to have their rules thats cool it's their club, doesn't mean everyone on evo m feels the same way.

So to answer your question. I don't think all evo owners feel that way but I guess I could be wrong. Just count me as one person that doesn't feel that way. AND I'm done!

I'm glad to hear that. I've run into a few that seem to have a snooty attitude. But I was hoping it was not common . To be fair, I've met my share of Subaru owners with attitudes. And Mustang owners, etc, etc.

I've always been of the opinion that when it came right down to it, for all practical purposes the STI and the Evo perform the same. Certainly, if the Evo gets a nudge in the handling department it is so small that driver skill will far, far outweigh it as a factor. So for me it came down to what else I wanted besides raw performance. I figure both can turn on a dime with change to spare, and both make perfectly good power. So the deciding factor become "what other things -- interior, looks, radio, seats, etc" do I like on one more than the other. Neither of them has a perfect combination for me, so I just picked the one that I thought would be easiest to "correct" so that it was everything I wanted it to be . That's a very personal decision, though, what matters to me won't necessarily matter to someone else.

That's why I'm trying to get one of you guys to sell me your seats .

I don't have the same attitude as that. If I could afford it I would own a STI along with my Evo. I love both of the cars .
