While I understand what your asking, the torque is not "low" its still 483 ft lbs at the wheels. This is equivalent to a very healthy big block chevy. It is "low" as in lower than the horsepower by a good deal because of the nature of the build. A motor with a DBB t67 and cams that move the powerband up past 8K will naturally make less torque overall than one with a smaller turbo and similar boost cammed/engineered to make power at 6500/7000.

For the size turbo I feel it spools very well and once you are in the power band it stays there very nice. The car is over 600hp from 6.5k-9k wich is not much different than 2.3 with tq and the power band from 5k-8k. The main reason for staying 2.0 is we are going to be over 9k through the traps and maybe even 10k later on so doing a 2.3 or 2.4 with good TQ would not last near as long as a 2.0 reving that high. If the EVO had different gearing doing a 2.3 would be nice.

If people are right about the BC cams than playing with cam timing should get us over 500tq.

Awesome stuff. Can't wait to get the meth/92 tuned on my tiny little GT35r/2.4! Wish we had E85 in my neighborhood.
