TorqueFreaks does 669HP on stock 4g63 block

Specs

Evo 9 MR

EMS:
AEM EMS 3.5 bar sensor

Turbo:
Extreme Turbo Systems GT35r kit – 34 lbs of boost

Fuel Setup:
1000cc injectors
Full blown – dual Walbro 255 fuel pumps
K&S 114 octane fuel

Internals:
ARP head stud and rod bolts
GSC camshafts

Power Adder:
NOS dry shot – jetted for roughly 150 shot

AEM controlled NOS hits at 6000k and runs to redline –

Car made 571 WHP on just boost….

We do realize that in the REAL world this set-up would not be ideal – we are just showcasing the durability of the a STOCK block, good gas and a decent tune.

Note: No Evo bumpers were harmed in association with this milestone

WOW!

i didnt think it could handle that, assuming i make 550whp which is my goal for 10's without stressing, you think the motor would last 20-30k?

or are you just showing that its fine for drag racing, but not being beat on everyday by an ******* driver lol

it wont last long at all... im guessing they had the ***** to test something like this.. they are just proving how much power the 4g63 motors can take.. this set up would be asolutely useless....

Our customer stated that it was ok to go ahead and forge into uncharted territory to break the "stock block" record. If there is enough intrest I will post up the AEM log

great power there, and I think the rods/rod bolts are the weak points the 63 bottom end.

+1 spun rod bearing or rod bolt failures are the weak links in our 4G63's

As I said yesterday, nice job on the tuning Jason! Pretty impressive engineering from the factory, will be fun to see how long it lasts under daily abuse. Should be a fast car!!

Ivey has a customer that runs just over 600 whp on the stock block daily, boost only. As far as i knew he had the only record.
