SR20 swap shop? Smog wtf!
Anyone know of a good shop that can do a quality DET swap? I was reading about maybe Kansai Motorsports in Seattle but I dunno. My 240 is my daily driver so I want to make sure the swap is carried out by someone who is very familar with it. I'll probably go with an S14 Kouki motor being as my car is a 98. The S15 is too expensive..
Also, to pass smog in Washington, couldn't I just get a PO box and register my car in, say, Enumclaw or Black Diamond? Anyone testify to that (or another local city)?
Thnx!

thanks, you'll find many threads on nwn with pictures of up garage's installs. I've never worked with them but the detail they do, I can't say i'd go anywhere else. if you got a DOHC turboing it is cheaper in almost everyway. then you don't have to worry about deq. I have a sr in my s13, but i also have a KA-T in my S14. unless you really have a good reason, the SR is not the way to go. theres nothing wrong with the SR at all, the KA-T will always be cheaper. with 7psi i made 240hp and 247tq. which is pretty good for a DD, and about the same as the stock sr will get ya. ka-t.org

Just FYI, you can't register your drivers license to a P.O. Box (has to be a physical address now) and you can't register a car to a different address. It's against state law to register a vehicle where you're not living and they're making a big deal about it.
I think it came about when the city of seattle was ****ing everyone over on the monorail and people were trying to avoid the horrific fees for that worthless POS. [shrug]
