Paintball MEET
When: Saturday, June 14, 2008
Time: Noon - 5pm or whenever people want to leave.
Where: ECH - 20 S Union Rd Elma, WA 98541
Why: Have FUN!
Who: EVERYONE (above 10 yr old)
Ok guys & gals. There was a lot of interest in having a group Paint ball Event. So I did a little research and it seems Emerald City Hobbies is one of the better places in the area also far enough south that hopefully some Oregon members can make it. They have offered us some great deals and discounts.
Main package is for 25+ people: $30 includes everything we will need
Free unlimited CO2 refills
Full rental package (mask, gun, tank, & loader)
500 paint ***** per person
Price gets cheaper the more people we get. The facility can comfortably hold 300 people. People can bring their own guns/paint and items but they recommend everyone uses the same equipment for a better fair time. Visit their website for more information & prices if you bring your own stuff. www.emeraldcityhobbies.com
Everyone is welcome (above 10 years old) so bring your friends and family.

Well personally I have never been to a paintball place. My friends and I go out in the woods and have a blast, alot of times we'll go camping for a weekend drink a little and shoot the hell out of each other.
So I had to ask around to some people who do it alot. Plus search the internet. The place in Elma and a place in Vancouver/Battleground came the highest recommended. I was thinking indoor but most people said outdoor is more fun especially for large groups.
Another reason this location was chose was price/equipment/availability. This basically equalled out to best bang for the buck, especially for newbies to experts. (it was close but Operation paintball I was told just upped the field fee $20 if you bring your own equipment and/or paint) Honestly I think this is one of those events/meets that 30-40 people will come this time and everyones going to want to do it again. It will grow and move from location to location.
Last reason is the SRT forums have about 4-5 Oregon members who were interested in something like this so its a little closer for them then Auburn. Hopefully maybe a few Oregonians/Southern Washington members here can make it up for this.

KC Crusader's is probably the one I would like to try next. It is a field paint only now and I heard it was like $60 a box so I thought that may turn a few people away.
