Water Leak - Help

Hi,

I got 2006 Evolution MR, I just find out the driver side carpet is all wet! I check the passenger side, and the back, and this seem to be the driver side only! I have an appointment with Mitsubishi this Thursday to take a look at this. In case if they cannot find out where is leaking, does anyone know any water doctor in Seattle, Bellevue area I can take my car to? I want to take care of this asap before is damage the wiring harnesses!

Thanks

this has already been reported on 06 evo, I just saw the thread few days ago about this. A member has the whole wiring harness replaced. And it's usually passenger side. do a search you'll find it.

Wow, please update this thread, I have an 06 Evo myself, and I hope it's not a typical problem.

You also might be dealing with a heater core leak?

Issue resolved!

The problem is the driver side grommet, but the fault party is not Mitsubishi, is the guys who install the alarm system! When he installed the alarm, he did not put the grommet back in!!! The company who installed the alarm agreed to pay for the $120 diagnostic fee, and repaired! Thanks God!

make sure it is all dried out under there and no corrosion.. I have seen many issues that pop up later from corroded wires in other vehicles!

Nice to know! I know the grommet lol, I ran my wiring for the boost gauge thru it. I can tell you, it's a mother f***er getting that grommet in and out too.

How did i miss this thread? That grommet problem is pretty common for alarms and gauges installs. First thing I usually recommend when I see these symptoms
