Another dealership dead!
Weel, for those of you that live in the state of Washington we have lost another Mitsu dealership. CAlled in to Harbour Pointe Mitsubishi in Everett 'cause I am having a problem with my intermittent speed on my wipers to hear Klein Honda answer the phone. WTF??? He said Harbour Pointe Mitsubishi closed last month............ Just did some research to see that Ford N.A bought out the dealership, it was also a Lincoln dealership, to cut down on nation wide dealers. Also stated that Brien Ford of Everett would be purchasing the franchise......... Called over to Brien Ford to find out that they are still a month away???
Now this leaves me with the closest dealer being a 50min. freeway drive away. Guess I will wait on having the intermittent speed looked at until new franchise owner takes over. This happened to me back in '03 when i purchased a new lancer ES from Seattle Mitsubishi........only to have them close down in another 5 months. Now i wonder if i should have not bought my second option of a used '06 Subaru WRX????? At least their dealers stay in one place!

We ought to keep a list of what's left ... a quick check on the main mitsu site lists the following dealerships in WA:
Younker Mitsu (Renton)
Auburn Valley Mitsu (Auburn)
Korum Mitsu (Puyallup)
Olympia Mitsu (Olympia)
Karmart Mitsu (Burlington)
Carey Mitsu (Yakima)
Pete Cann Mitsu (Vancouver)
Tri-Cities Mitsu (Pasco)
not one dealership in the Seattle area ... nuts.

Sadly this is probably the biggest reason I'm selling my car soon. The dealer network is totally ridiculous. Not only is there not ONE Seattle area dealer (doesn't even have to be Seattle, none of the surrounding areas have anything) but both of the dealers I've dealt with have been absolutely horrible. Auburn Valley had my car broken into and refused to fix any of it, left me with over $2,000 in damage and didn't even fix what I sent it in for.
Really just makes me want to give Mitsu the finger and move on.... even after 6 faithful years of DSM and Evo goodness...
