The coverage of the February 21-22 Evo Dyno Tuning sessions at Drift Office were posted on urbanracer.com today... Check it out.

Thanks to Bill Lee of 'The Office', Aaron and Luke from English Racing and the Evo owners who helped me out by supplying their vital statistics.

Nice write up! It was a good day... you going to be at the next event March 21-22? You can make this an ongoing article and they will be tuning the evo X at this one!

Why is the AMS 30r car only making 376whp on a dynojet That thing should be well over 400whp on pump with a 30r....

Should that really make that big of a difference? I personally dont think so. I made 371hp (stock turbo) on S1's which are also small, the size difference between the two I do not know, but I dont imagine its that big.

We can take this discussion to a different thread, but for whatever reason thats all we could get before we got knock. I have all the logs as I always do from every car we dyno. This isnt the first 30R I have seen that made low power for what they are reputed to be able to do.

Thank you Evan for getting this up for us that were there to dyno

Not meaning to derail, but the S1s on the IX have a 268 duration from what I remember. You also have a IX with MIVEC vs his VIII without. In any case, cam size can make a difference in terms of power...some more aggressive cams and his numbers would probably be up (what they are implying). But its all speculation at this point....

Cams have always been, and will always be a huge topic of debate. Factory vs. aftermarket, there is so much misleading information it's impossible to compare apples to apples. Some manufacturers measure lift and duration at 1mm lift, others from when the valve is fully closed, also they seem to have different rules on overlap too, which sux with positive manifold pressure.
