I'm no regular (hell I haven't even raced this year ) but my wheels are in my sig. I had NT05 but now am ordering 255/40 Dunlop Z1's. Pretty much Dunlop Z1 rule the roost in autoX. If you can afford it the Advan AD08 are good and I have heard decent things from the Bridgestone RE-11. If you are going to run in say STU just run stock BBS and 245/40/17 Dunlop Z1. Thats what most do. Spool4Fun on here runs Z1's and has alot of time on them. For the price they kill at nationals and they are cheap.

RE11, AD08 and Z1s are proven to be great. I'd assume the NT05s are good as well. There really isn't any autoX reviews on the NT05s since they don't make a 245/40/17 that the STU guys need.

255s are easy to fit on a 17x9 wheel, but if you want to be a serious BSP guy you have to go 18x9.5 and have a tire in the 265-285 range. I personally like the enkie NT03 +40, but not sure if I want to make the jump from STU to BSP yet.

When is the next autoX you are going to? Thats a good time to talk to people about what they are running. I've seen both the RE11 and AD08 out on the track this year and the people that have run these have seen good gains from last year. Hope that helps...

I'm running the OEM Advan A046 on the stock enkei VIII wheels this season in STU, doubt they are a match for current Dunlop Star Specs or AD08, RE-11 on 245 size lighter wheels though, just the nut behind the wheel keeping it in front so far.

yea im going to be running in BSP so im definatly looking to get the 18x9.5's...i was looking at the NT03's as well ive heard very good things about them...still trying to decide if im going to sell the stock SE BBS's or keep them for daily driving.

And the next autoX event ill be at should be the next SCCA event on June 21st out in packwood...as long as i dont work that day imma be there prolly still on my crappy tires hahahhaha

I'm going to be running the Chuckanut Sport Car Club event at the Mount Baker Ski area on the 21st. Packwood is always worth the drive, so that is a great event too. I've never ran with CSCC and haven't been to an autoX at Baker, so I'm going to give that a try.

If it was me, I would sell the stockers and get some NT03s. There is always a hot new street tire coming out is seems these days and I always want to get a set so I don't mind the tire wear. The Evo is not a DD for me, so I have another car for winter and snow so I don't mind only having one set of wheels/tires.

Hopefully I will see you at an event rocking some 285 rubber! I will be super jealous.

I posted this in a different thread, but I suppose I should have just posted it here.

"Go with the new Bridgestone RE-11's (predecessor to the, now discontinued, RE-01R's). The RE-01R's were proven track winners in multiple SCCA classes. The New RE-11's tested even better. In the new Grassroots Racing magazine they tested these them together. The RE-11's put shaved off ~0.4 secs. from the RE-01R's and roughly 1 full second from the Dunlop Star's (on a 35 second course)."

I've rocked the RE-01R's for two years now. I've also driven a friends car with the Z1's, which are good, but not quite a responsive. Plus the bridgestones have been lasting FOREVER! Two years of autocrossing and daily driving and they still have a decent amount of tread on them.

Damn that is impressive. Do you take them off during the winter, or just park the car during the cold season?

Auto-x is OK.

The track, Pacific Raceways or Portland are where it's at. I haven't been to an auto-x since my first track day, and don't plan on it

^Watching your video of the Porsche day, I can't help but agree. That looks like a lot of fun.

R6= road course
A6= autoX

R6 wouldn't come up to temp fast enough and you wouldn't be that fast at autoX
