New lady in my life.

As some of you might know, last weekend i co-drove a rally car for the first time. Phil Meyers and myself did pretty well, we came in second in class both days and 4th over all on Sunday. The urge to rally became greater then ever. So i decided that i should do something about it.

I ended up bring a new lady friend home with me. Her name is Randice and she likes it rough.

The car was perchance from Ray and Janice Damitio. It has a log booked 10 point cage, that is in need of a few updates. It has Rally suspension, a rally odometer, skid plates, 6 wheels, and an intercom.

The car has been sitting for a while

Its last Stage rallys were the Pacific Forest Rally in 2002 and and the doo wop rally in March of 03.

It has ran at many working rally sprints and rally crosses since that time. The last time it was rally crossed was in mid 2007.

The car has rolled once in the Dimitio's back yard. Here is a picture of some of the remaining damage of that roll.

The car is in need of a new motor as the one it has now burns alot of oil and knocks on start up.

a new tranny, this one is missing third gear and wont down shift into second.

it also needs a passenger side fender and door.

Besides that we need seats and harnesses, but the car should make it out to a few events next season.

The main thing the car needs though is LOVE

Yes, that is the air filter and yes, we did drive it 3 miles like that today on 2 year old gas.

I will be posting pictures of the rebuild of the car up on here, if you guys have any questions fell free to ask, or if you are interested in lending a hand it is always appreciated.

Geo Metro....what are you going to do with it? Is it possible to install the parts from the Swift GTi and still be legal?

Co-driving is so crappy - you just sit there with your head down and hope the guy driving doesn't kill you. Welcome to the big boys club. That should be a good little learner car.

Group 2 is where it's at, if I got back into rally it would be in a Civic. My Golf was OK, but it's harder to make N/A power in a VW compared to a Honda. The AWD drive classes are too expensive, it's $$$ to run even a WRX, let alone an STI or EVO. And the speeds in Group 2 are fast enough to be fun, but not stupid speed like an EVO.

It has swift brakes up front and hopefully it will end up with them in the rear. The motor is going to stay the NA 1.0 or 1.3
