As long as the speed is in line with the flow, that speed is the safest bet.

-1 for i-95!!

Did you say you were moving out of the area once May 2010 hits?

I've heard about these red light cameras although they don't exist (yet) in Canada. Some of the provinces have "photo radar", and it's just a money maker for the government...because they can't tell who is actually driving the vehicle, you don't lose points, but a hefty ticket to the car's owner comes in the mail, along with a nice picture of your car. Anyone using radar detectors?

Radar detectors...they are against the law in Ontario, Canada. If they catch you with one they take it and charge you.
In the other provinces where they are "legal", usually the police give you a lower ticket if you don't have a radar detector...but if you have one, they give you the max penalty I've heard. That proves it...they want our money!

I have removed mine when pulled over, but 9/10 it has saved me. Can they still ding you if you remove it? Would they pull the "I saw you had a detector before I pulled you over..."

Yes, you are not allowed to have one in your posession...they are "illegal" here, and they even post signs with an "X" through a radar detector when you first enter into Ontario, Canada...most people I know in Alberta, Canada, have removed their radar detectors despite them being legal there, as they know the increased amounts of the ticket if they get stopped. I imagine the police think that the person has gotten away without getting a ticket from time to time with using a detector, so they want to get back their revenue somehow...

I haven't, but those with the 9500xi have a similar setup, assuming they are doing frequent updates. I just have the "lowly" 9500i
