Seattle, WA Where to get chopped nose done?
Alright guys, so after awhile of going back and forth between the evo 9 front bumper and the evo 8 nose chop I've officially chose the nose chop for my 8. My only question is what shop in the WA area could do this. I don't know any reputable body shops around here so that is the purpose of this thread . I don't have any body/paint skills either otherwise i'd do it myself. Only person I know of in the WA area with the nose chop is (Kaymin) and after searching realized he probably did it himself like he said he was going to do. I don't want a hack job, if i get this done i want it done the RIGHT way by a good shop. So any help would be very much appreciated. Also IF you have a ball park estimate of how much the chop and paint that would be nice as well.
The traingle is goofy looking and is the only thing I dont like about my car. Once its off I think it'll look so good! Thanks guys

I'm sure any decent body shop would be able to do this. Maybe ping hanahawaiian (who works for a place in Taco) or metalmellinium (who works for a place in Kirkland).
See this thread for more info. It looks pretty easy to DIY, but I'd take it to a shop for paint matching.

I'm sure Dave at 360autobody (www.360autobody.com) located over in Kirkland can do it for you for a reasonable price. Just tell him Marvin with the Red Evo told you to go there and he'll work something out for you. You'd have to most likely bring him the bumper and explain the nose chop to him but he'll do a good job.
Call around and find out the best price is what I'd do if I were you except probably most shops wouldn't know what you meant by a nose chop haha.

^agreed on not knowing, but it is easy and they'd figure it out, like Marvin states. I know metalmellinium usually price matches or beats prices, and he drives and Evo and would know what you're referring to.
*edit - btw, I really like the look of the nose-chopped Evo8 front more and more. Especially with some big ol' IC/piping up front that has to be molded into the bumper. So hawt!
Similar to this, but I've seen better integration of those pipes (on this car they cut a bit too much into the bumper, IMO):

haha im in the same boat with the OP.
I picked up a IX Mesh Grill for my future evo 8 nose chop. I really love the IX Front Bumper especially on the LY exterior. But it is a very expensive route to take. I actually found a bodyshop that could cut out the triangle nose and repaint my front current stock bumper for $250. He said paintmatching is easier on a yellow car compared to other colors.

IMO the bumper will need to make its way to a shop anyway for paint - thats why im considering to let them do the nose chop as well. but thats just me.
if they would charge extra 200 for labour, i will pick up my own dremel and chop it up myself. but then theres the fiberglass-ing part which to me is a challenging.
OP - let us know how it goes.
EDIT here is some ispiration for you:
