The front plate is just a reason for the cop to pull you over...i think ive posted up on this thread before about what i do...i usually keep my front plate and 2 zip ties in the glove box and if i get pulled over for it i tell the cop that if he really wants me to put it on right there i will get out and zip tie it to my grille lol...every time it has gotten me outta there with just a warning

Lol I had a stater pull me over one night for no licenses plate and I told him to look in the left lower duct and he's like oh well have a good night. The whole time when I first saws him I was like he's going to hit the street light flip a ***** and come after me... and he did lol.

I have my plate mounted with the factory bracket and location. I'm sure he heard my exhaust and just assumed I didn't have a front plate and used that ad his excuse. I got on it a bit about 2 blocks before we saw each other.

Since nobody bothered to look it up until now, the law requiring front plates was renewed and effective 7/1/2011
Interestingly, there IS a loophole if you can convince them to issue you one license plate (not sure how to prevent them from issuing two plates?)
(5)(a) Display. License plates must be:
(i) Attached conspicuously at the front and rear of each vehicle if two license plates have been issued;
(ii) Attached to the rear of the vehicle if one license plate has been issued;
