Hello everyone I live in a small town called Othello near Moses Lake and I have a Evo 9 just yesterday I drove to north bend to meet a guy from belfair to buy his evo 8 wing i wanted the more sturdy full carbon fiber wing. I bought it for $100 cus it has slight sun damage and he didnt want to get it fix so I was all over that wing, my question to you my fellow evo owners is does anyone know of a good place to take the wing to have it sanded down and resurfaced??? any info would help tremendously thank you in advance

 

look up in the how to/ install and look up how to re-do the clear yourself and save some money it'll be easy and a learning experience

 

my wing is in the shop right now getting a quote for re-finishing.... i'll let you know what they did!

 

Don't really wanna run the risk of sanding to much and ruining the wing, do u know anybody that has done it? I'd rather pay and have it done right then save some money and maybe ruin it. IMO

VTR in everett did my hood and it looks great! not sure where exactly Moses Lake is but if ur ever around Everett VTR does great work!

 

I just recently re-did mine. Here's the steps I took:

1. 600 grit wet sand.

2. 2000 grit wet sand.

3. Clear coat. Dry. 2000 grit wet sand. Alcohol rinse. Clear coat. Dry.

4. Repeat step 3 as much as you want until you like the shine.

5. Buff and polish.

6. Wax.

Mine turned out great!

make sure you use automotive clear not rattle can if you decide to do it yourself.

 

Thnx boostwhore I'll make sure to make a note of that but I'll more then likely have someone do it for me, cus I want it done by someone who knows what he's doing I'll do the installs that I know I can do
