Average turbo life

What is the average turbo life for a stock VIII turbo and a stock IX turbo?

Very broad question... Depends on how you drive the car, what psi you run, if you take care of your car, etc... Some last 30k miles (like mine) and some will last 200k miles. Depends on you.

Agreed. Also add in oil choice, oil change frequency, and something I myself (as well as many other believe), idle after driving (aka turbo timing).

Thanks Derek - that is what I meant by "taking care of your car" proper maintance!

Letting the oil run low and uncovering the oil pick-up will destroy the turbo fairly quick along with bearings...
