Im interested to see what Aaron recommends for Keith. The oil squirters will definitly be mandatory for Keith since he tracks and drag races.
Keith, you might wanna hit up Mikey too and ask some specifics on his build. He did afterall almost make 700whp on a black running ER's 2.4L.

@ Derek - just admit your memory sucks and move along.
sorry to hear that, Keith. It didn't sound like ER was too keen on oil squirters, but it could have been the application of the build as well. I'm not sure if they'll recommend a 2.4L or not for what you do - road racing and drags - they might steer you to a 2.2L. Aaron did have a 2.2L on his first build (I think it was the first for his car), but there were accidental issues with it. Eric is building a 2.2L I think, and that would seem the best for your racing needs.
Regardless, your car is going to be a beast when completed! Best of luck!

it will be interesting to see the route you take. I was kind of in your position at the end of last year when I lifted the head on my stock motor during an HPDE. I was torn between building a bullet-proof motor (I say that as a joke, I know there is no such thing) with all the high dollar parts aka my dream motor, or putting it back together with OEM stuff. In the end I decided against the built motor route because for what I do with the car (95% HPDE/Autox) there really is no need for the extra displacement/power (and all the extra consumable usage that go along with that extra power) when the stock setup still had plenty of ceiling room left. It was also more cost effective to stay stock, which is always a plus.
