Yeah I used it all night.

MR Launch Control (the only way I found it to work)

1. Put the car in Drive
2. Put SST to Sport, then hold 3 to 4 sec until it goes to S-Sport
3. Turn traction control off, I like to turn it completely off by holding it down until you see the yellow warning symbol.

4. Brake pedal in, Full on gas. (If you go light with the gas pedal it won't rev to 5k and will get stuck at 2k to 3k)

5. Let go of brake, take off, have fun.

A few tricks: You can't hold it at 5k like the evo 8 and 9, 2 steps. SST gets too hot and then it just shuts itself down into Neutral even though you are still in Drive. Once you hit 5K you gotta take off.

Also, switch to manual mode after it changes gear to 2nd. I got about .1 sec faster manual shifting by going a little over 7k when shifting.

Overall, very fun. Can't wait for more power.

I tried that this morning, I was able to almost hit 5k rpm with manual mode .
I'll do it again right after work.

by default I don't think there is "launch control" but as an 05 you might have a two step by default? That might depend on when yours was manufactured, but I'm not sure. With a tune you can have a two step added which is what Tony's car sounded like it was doing in the video.

BTW Tony, I think that is an old Chevelle you raced; I think the video read Camaro. Nice job guys, and thanks for sharing the video!

Im 99% sure 05's have a 2-step. Makes it very easy to launch as long as your clutch can hold the power.

so i tried and check if it does...well it does...it does around 5500..but after i did it it smelt like the clutch..i think im doing it wrong...the way i was doing it was floor it and let the clutch go...should i tap and tap til i get 5000 then floor it once it hits the second yellow on the track..while im holding the hand brake up and letting it go when it turns green

Yeah there is no special process you just let it rev off the 2 step and let the clutch up until you feel it start to engage and then let it out the rest of the way as fast as you can. If your clutch smells alot you probably either let the clutch out to slow or your clutch was slipping on its own.
