2000 Evo 6.5 Tommi Makinen Edition (not converted to LHD) - $30k! - SEATTLE
Posting for a friend on Nasioc
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1358029
NOTE:
This car is FULLY REGISTERED with WA PLATES. Completely legal to drive in the US.
Also I was just corrected by my friend that this is the RS2 Tommi Makinen Edition. There are only around 1000 LHD RS2 TME's worldwide.
POSTING FOR A FRIEND
In speaking with my friend about the few imported cars for sale on this forum, he said he is actually trying to sell his extremely rare Evo 6.5 Tommi Makinen Edition.
For those who don't know this car, here is a few links:
http://paultan.org/archives/2007/01/...s-evolution-9/
http://www1.freewebs.com/lancerevocl...aleditions.htm
Here are the specs in case the links don't work:
Unlike most car manufacturers where special editions have only superficial differences from the rest of the model line-up the Tommi Makinen Edition included some core improvements over the standard EVO 6. This included a new TD05HRA-15GK2-10.5T with a titanium turbine wheel, a quieter exhaust system, 10mm lowered suspension and a quicker steering rack. The front bumper lost the large driving lights and were replaced by large vents. The Makinen edition came with Enkei 17inch alloy wheels. 2,500 were made with many believing this to be the best example of the EVO line.
The car was built to celebrate Makinens' four consecutive World Championship for drivers' titles, and it is sometimes referred to as teh Evo 6.5. The high response titanium-aluminium alloy turbine blades are now specified on the GSRs' turbocharger as well, combined with with a smaller diameter compressor wheel; the RS kept the old turbo. There was also a new exhaust with a big bore tailpipe. Ultimately, the engine provided lots of torque in the low to mid-range, the Evo 6 TME modifications bringing in the maximum torque 250rpm lower down the rev- band. The car rode 10mm lower than the Evo 6, as the GSR came with the tarmac suspension settings which comes as an option on the RS. The following are the specifications of the Evo 6 TME.

The Evo VI alone was a great car but the Tommi Makinen Edition is extremely rare. He imported this car from Sweden back in 2000. Because it's from Sweden, it came Left Hand Drive (not converted to LHD as some in the US are). The car is and has always been completely stock. Nothing has been touched on this car.
