cornering its a big difference. The IRS is insane threw corners. I like the soldi axle because i dont have to worry about everything breaking on the IRS.

and plus with the solid axle, i can launch the car if i ever get it to the track and not worry about picking up the exle shafts lol.

ill give you a ride then you can tell how insane fast it actully is + being able to daily drive it

yeah it really is give and take with the solid vs. the independent rear. I never knew it could handle even with the IRS. I bet it hooks much better now though.

Questions on the 4.10's?

How is it at cruising speed?
Would a 3.73 or even the stock 3.55 be better with all the torque you have?
Is the speed-o-meter matched with the new gears?

Thanks Dom!

actually i have to update the ad. The IRS i had in the car had 4.10's. The rear i have now has 3.27 gears. Which come stock in gt's and bullits in 99-04.

The 4.10's with the stock eaton was great, the 4.10's with the kenne bell were terrible, the car wouldnt go anywhere. When i switched to the 3.27's the highway speed of the car is insane, not real jumpy downlow like the 4.10s had, but beleive me the kenne bell compensates for the lower gear lol.

so to answer your question, yes a lower gear ratio is better. The 3.27 is to low for me but alot of cobra guys run 3.27's with kenne bells, whipples and twin turbo just because the power is crazy.

I bet it's geared to hit 200+ now . I actually did the math.

Corral RPM / SPEED / GEAR Calculator
Engine RPM: 6500
Vehicle Speed: 255.086270165552
Read End Gear: 3.27

Go see if I am right.

I guess having a 3.55 or even a 3.73 would be for the best.

There are two totally different cars, power wise, comfort, feel, and driveability. Evo and Cobras is some of the best cars on the road todasy and like you said its nice to own both to see the difference. One day i would like to own another cobra, if i was looking for a cobra right now i would def buy yours or trade Good luck man!
