new Ford Taurus 3.5l twin turbo AWD for sale

So I swear up and down that I knew a long time ago that Ford planned on putting this engine on the new Mustang. I was absolutely astonished and in shock to see a TV commercial of the new(now available) Ford Taurus SHO V6 twin turbo and available in AWD.

What do you guys think? Did Ford changed plans? This motor suppose to be on the Mustang, not the Taurus!

this are the specs: 365hp/350lb-tq 3.5l v6 Ecoboost engine

http://www.egmcartech.com/tag/2010-ford-taurus-sho/

Guys, this is no joke:

Ford announced today that its new 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine will debut with a “beefed-up” 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission that is “designed for higher torque demands of the all-new twin-turbocharged, direct injection engine.”

Based on the new 6F-50 transmission, the 6F-55 is dedicated to the 3.5L EcoBoost lineup. To guarantee every drop of torque produced by the turbocharged V6 EcoBoost, the ring gear on the 6F-55 transmission is a beefier 41.5 mm versus 31.5 mm on the 6F-50.

The 3.5L V6 EcoBoost produces 355-hp (365-hp on the 2010 Taurus SHO) with a maximum torque of 350 lb-ft. The new engine mated to the 6-speed SelectShift 6F-55 transmission will first be made available on the 2010 Lincoln MKS due out later this summer. It will also be available on the new 2010 Lincoln MKT, 2010 Ford Flex and the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO.

God damn automatics ffs. This would be tempting if it involved a clutch.

Looks like an Acura TL from the front but better. I'm not sure about the back though. You're right.....this should be in the mustang or atleast a Special Edition Mustang. Somehow I think you'll see some motor swapping going on with this.

No disrespect to the new Mustang owners but I think the Taurus SHO has more potencial.

That is pretty cool actually, I owned an '87 Red Taurus LX with red velour interior bench seats (first car), man that thing was pimp; this thing looks like an animal!

Well the GT500 owners might have something to say about that .

It's still technically a Mustang.

I just wish the Taurus SHO was a bit smaller and lighter.

A Ford Fusion with this engine and AWD would be awesome.

It was NEVER slated to go into the Mustang, only the Taurus. It's been known for a looong time that it was going into the Taurus. While I for one would love to see it in the Mustang mated to a ****ing 6 speed manual, it won't happen for a while.

I don't care because it's direct injection and you can't mod direct injection for squat.

i dont think there is any way ford would ever put a V6 in a mustang GT...it just doesn't seem right. Like someone said above, this motor in an awd fusion (or focus) would have some serious potential.

I don't think it was every seriously going into the Stang. The Stang faithful just won't go for it. I hear they are working on a 5.0 for the Mustang for 2012. The Ecoboost needs to go in something lighter to see its full potential, IMO, like the Fusion. But the new SHO I've known about for some time.

Nice, my first car was a 1989 Taurus SHO. The new one looks pretty cool.

Mazdaspeed 3 is DI too those guys are plain stuck at 400whp. They can't get enough fuel becaue it's DI, so they are running copious amounts of METH to supplement.

The aftermarket has alot of work to do before you'll see highly modded DI cars.
