I've tried the procedure in the Manual and this one which is the same but more detailed.

HOW TO CANCEL THE SERVICE REMINDER WARNING

1. Turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position.
2. By operating the meter information switch, the warning period is displayed on the multi information display.
3. Press the meter information switch once for 1.2 seconds or longer.
4. The service reminder indicator flashes.
5. While the service reminder indicator flashes, press the meter information switch once for less than 1.2 seconds.
6. The service reminder indicator is turned ON, and "CLEAR" is displayed on the multi-information display for 3 seconds.
7. After "CLEAR" is displayed for 3 seconds, the warning period to the next time is displayed.


I cannot get past step 4. At step 5 when I press the info button for less than 1.2s the screen just goes back to solid, and no CLEAR is displayed.

Took it into the dealer and they said they had to hook it upto the computer. So I couldn't see what they were doing.

Is this true? I want to be able to change my own oil and reset the light myself.
Has anyone gotten it to work on their Sport?

I haven't done it yet on mine. Have you tried setting the ignition to ACC or ON without engine turn over? Hope that helps.

Those instructions will only work when it gives you a Service light( meaning you went over your mileage) ... If you're still under your service mileage... it will only up the Mileage and Months and then you will have to go to the dealership to bring it down.
