New 2013 Black RVR GT owner

Sup everyone, just wanted to say hi.

I'm new to the Mitsubishi family, and use to own a 95 Lexus SC400.

Loving the RVR so far, and right now just breaking it in (1,800 kms). Getting so-so gas mileage at the moment.

Quick question for the GT owners, how do you use the sportronic shift paddles. I was driving on a highway and I switched it to sportronic mode but was unable to go faster than 120km on gear 6.

Sorry at work right now, and unable to read my manual guide (plus I'm too lazy flipping through pages lol).

Well 6th "gear" is an overdrive ratio, you don't really use that to accelerate, you use it to cruise and maintain a cruising speed. You need to either press the minus paddle a few times or pull back on the shift lever a few times while in the manual gate, then accelerate. Keep in mind that while in sportronic mode, the trans will not downshift for you if you want to accelerate, it will hold whatever gear you select until the engine reaches red line or you decelerate to a stop. If the shift lever is in D, when you decelerate to a stop the trans will default back to drive; if the lever is in the manual gate the car will default back to "1". That's all I can think of so far about the sportronic system.

Welcome to the forum... Post pics.

I will be doing some quick and ez mods such as:

8000k HIDs, even though it doesn't provide as much lighting as our stock HIDs, the white and slight blue color makes it look more sexy

Black plasti dip front and rear emblems.
Black plasti dip stock wheels.

8000k isn't slight blue, it's just blue. 5 looks good, 6 I'll give you, but 8 and above just looks ghetto. No nice car has ever come with blue headlights.

I'd have to agree, excellent choice in color. I just bought some black plastidip and plastidip clear-coat this week. Going to do the same to my rims this weekend if the weather holds up.

Nice, take pics after for us! I might use their new metallic plasti dip line.

I created a thread and threw a couple pics up. Plasti Dip works great, although I may not have added enough coats. I still have a couple cans of black and some gloss left so might add more later. I'd be very interested to see how the metallic finish looks, definitely post some pics up f you do.
