Rear passenger door leak
Has anyone noticed rain water collecting in the door well on the rear passenger doors? The inner door seal is doing it's job and no moisture is getting to the interior but there is a pool of water that will drain out when I open the door, this appears to only be happening on the driver's side. Long term that isn't good.
I was at the dealership today and they looked at it and couldn't find a problem, they said they'd need to have the car for longer (I was just in for the seatbelt recall) to find the root cause. I'll most likely set up an appointment after Christmas but wondered if anyone else had experienced this..

Not directly related but is something to look into also, one of our members have noticed water/rain seepage into the rear hatch, right above the license plate.

Okay, found my old thread... Look into your window 'channel' seals, it's probably where your leakage problem is coming from. >>

You should take a closer look at how your rubber seals mate to the window frame(s).
Let me know what you find out.

Alright.. here's that thread I was thinking about earlier (regarding the hatch) but couldn't remember the title >

So, don't let that standing water in your door turn into this issue...

I see..
Hard to tell for sure... but could it be catching rain between the B pillars or around that area?
You can test that theory by blocking that "seam" up with painter's tape and see if you're still capturing water.

Okay, so if it's not the window channel seals then it could be this >
- The outer "edge" rubber is some how defective and not providing a good seal between the window frame and roof frame... (this is only a guess.)
Or,
It could be the chrome trim at the base of the window not pressing against the glass tight enough, allowing rain to seep in.
