2016 Mitsubishi Outlander - Official
Looks nicer then I expected.
From the press release:
Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) today unveiled the new 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander seven-passenger crossover at the 2015 New York International Auto Show. The 2016 Outlander is the first Mitsubishi production vehicle to showcase the brand's new design language. The 2016 Outlander is not just a cosmetic "refreshing," however, and features an unprecedented number of important engineering and design improvements that increase the level of refinement and overall driving experience. The 2016 Outlander is a segment-leading vehicle that will appeal to buyers wanting value, quality and safety.

Looks o.k.
I'm not sure if I like the multi colored front with silver, dark grey and then the vehicle color.
I'm sure it will grow on me, but I still think the SUV "looks" too big if that makes any sense? It's something about the way they rolled off the back end that make it looks bubbly to me.
Grill looks cool though, minus the multi colored setup. They should have chosen a black or silver model for the press photo.

Overall, much better looking on the frontend that's for sure.
No photos of the engine bay, why not? Guess no improvements there...
But, WHY/What on earth are those headrests made like that??
Did someone from their design department have some relatives who look this >>
or
I just don't get it.

The seat backs aren't really that high in the back. Kinda like old street rod seats.
There's not a whole lot different from the new ones than the current models other than the front and rear looks.
The body and layout are very similar. I'm sure glad I blacked out the chrome trim tho and colored the front bumper area. I'm glad they got back to making a better front end tho. The current one grew on me, but they are going in the right direction with the looks. The 2.4 in the Big O is much nicer than I thought. We went for the V6 for the power, but were happy with the get up and go AND the gas mileage was better than the Sports, so the wife said get it. Been happy with it.

Thank goodness they got rid of the taillight that went all the way across the rear.
I always thought the Outlander looked kind of off though. Like it was a modern vehicle kinda stuck on design on 10 years ago.
Can't wait to see what the new OS will look like.
