mods to improve my 2015?
I have a 2015 2.0. I've done some searching and it looks like I should do an intake and a drop in airfilter. Haven't really saw brands or places to buy an intake. Or what works best for the machine. Figuring a k&n filter. Any other mods that improve these machines that I should get? I've put 1800 miles on my ride and figure it's broke in enough to start modding.

Takeda intakes have been put in already. Idk about the 15 but everything looks the same. I know that the intakes from 08/14 lancers fit including the cold air intakes. Exhausts look extremely similar to, might have to modify it some but possibly could be direct bolt on. I'll be getting a injen exhaust with in the next few months so if you haven't done anything by then. I'll let you know how it fits

Ill try to snap a picture of under the hood tonight. I know some of the earlier model os would fit the lancer parts. Wasnt so sure about the 15. Not much about the newer models and upgrading on here. Ive bought lots of accesories that all fit from 11-15 but nothing performance yet

a cold air intake on a NA 2.0L engine is just going to be an expensive noisemaker. you'd be lucky to see any gain. The BMW M5 has a massively oversized dual air intake system, and even Dinan has shown that their custom $2k CAI coupled with an ECU tune only gives about 4hp on the 400hp motor at the peak with less gain everywhere else.
a short ram intake will pull in hot engine compartment air and likely cause you to lose power.
get a drop in filter if you must, but i'm not really fond of K&N's. they don't filter well, and testing done on the Rennlist forums for a Porsche 928 showed a loss of power compared to the stock paper filter, and fine dust particles allowed through the K&N. also, if you over-oil them, they will foul your MAF sensor. i've used them before, but i rigged up a shop vac to suck up any excess oil.
the stock paper filter will flow more than enough air to give all the hp the engine can make.
