A few weeks into ownership....some thoughts and questions.
Sorry if this is too wordy......
Hello from South Louisiana,
Im about 3 weeks in with my OS. I came to the OS from a 2012 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab prior to that truck, a 2005 Hyundai Tucson. I enjoyed my Frontier, but I am returning to school at 32 yrs old and will need to shed some expenses. I cross shopped the OS against the Chevy Trax, the Honda HRV, Kia Sportage, Hyun Tucson, and Nissan Rogue. The OS originally wasnt even on my radar until I saw it mentioned in an online review. The professional reviews kinda ragged the OS in general, but I saw a lot of happy user reports. And ive learned a lot of professional reviewers have strong bias towards certain brands.
I purchased the OS for just under 23k with TTL. Its the OS SE FWD with Glass roof and RF Stereo. I sold my Frontier to an individual so no trade.
So far my thoughts on ownership
*For just under 23k I dont feel I could have gotten more vehicle with more options/features. For this price it was pretty much the base level trim on the other vehicles I cross shopped.
*Critics say the interior is drab compared to the competition, but I dont feel that is so after test driving and taking notes on the others. The trax has a drab interior, and the Base HRV has a pretty utilitarian interior. But if you really want a drab interior, sit in a Nissan Frontier. Even the top trim SL I had is like stepping back into the early 2000s.
*Maybe cause I drive like a pawpaw but I feel acceleration is adequate and gas mileage on my first tank was about 26.5. The best I could ever get in my Frontier was a hair over 20 on a long interstate road trip.
*It has taken me a while to get used to the CVT, it just doesnt feel smooth at times, but the HRV and Rogue felt the same way at times with their CVT.
*My biggest concern long term is that Mitsubishi doesnt abandon the US market and leave us with orphaned vehicles.
*I had the RF sound system in my Frontier and it was just OK, but the RF system in the OS is pretty damn good. My co-worker has a Hyundai Genesis with the Lexicon system and 15+ speakers and my RF system sounds as good if not a little better and definitely has better bass extension.
Some questions for other owners. I searched but came up short with answers to thes questions.
There is an occasional clicking from what sounds like a relay from the rear of the vehicle. I was thinking its coming from the subwoofer, but im not certain, has anyone else with or without the RF system noticed this noise?
Does anyone else find the HID headlights seem to not shine out far enough, even with the leveling set at "0"? It seems thet maybe shine out 50-60 feet with a hard cut-off.
Does anyone else with the power drivers seat have it feel like the seat back shifts back during acceleration?

Hi and welcome to the forum.
i too have the the RF system and i haven't heard any clicks from the back, i would take it in and ask them to check it out. the only click i hear is as Jono said with the A/C.
I have to agree with Jono the HID are great and very wide.
I haven't had issue with the seatss.

thr HID level button only lowers them (if you have a heavy load in the back, and are blinding traffic, for example).
do a search for adjusting headlights. you'll need a flat surface, a wall, some tape, and a yardstick/ measuring tape. dont know the exact procedure for the OS, but im sure its on this site somewhere .....
