Recommend an ODB II Reader?
Since I am looking for code info, anyone care to recommend a budget ODB reader? The ELM327 ones can be had for like 5 bucks and a full reader with screen for 30-50. Recommendations?

Just about all code readers are the same . The more you spend , the more info they will be able to display . Most important is to not just clear the code , it came on for a reason . the mechanic that you bring it to will need the freeze frame data . it can take a lot of time for all the monitors to run again .

Would one of the cheap ELM 327 readers work? Or should I spend 30 USD to get a reader with a display? I have a couple other engines where this would be useful (maybe)

i just posted in your other thread before i saw this one.
i one i recommended there is cheap, low-profile (won't smack it with your knee), and has an on/off button.

SAw this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-AC...-/161952823991 The littel ELM ones (2-8 bucks) look like they are neat if you want to run the apps on your phone, too.

I have one of the ELM327 picked up from eBay ($20) along with an iOS app called ODB Fusion ($10) and this combo has served me well with 3 owned vehicles. Our 2015 OS is new so haven't tried it yet because it hasn't thrown a code yet.

I had the cheap 13 bucks WiFi ELM327 adapter here http://www.obd365.com/wholesale/wifi...ipod-1932.html along with DashCommand app, work good with iPhone, not problem to scan and pull out codes.
