So some dumb@$$ hit me and caused some serious front end damage, I got Cora back and put the rims and tire I wanted more below. But I love the look now!

Short Shifter...Completed

So the shifter is tall real tall. It needs to be fixed. So I everything except the cable bushings. It's nice and crisp but it has a weird angle. The neutral location is where you want the odd gears (1,3,5) to be. And the even gears (2,4,R) is where you expect to be in Neutral to live.

So you need to remove about 4 inches which did. Maybe less if you have short arms. I cut an rewelded it. It has very crisp shifts and required a little of positive focus getting into gears. Not as bad as a Porsche 944 shifting. But feels like a Rod Shifter vs Cable Shifting. A much more deliberate action.

I am willing to cut and weld this for you if you cover the cost of shipping round trip. Really worth the improvement!!!

Light Weight Pulley...Complete UPDATED 3/13/24

So due to my future plans I decided to install a Fluid Damper.

So I chose an AROSPEED Light-Weight Crank Pulley Mitsubishi Lancer EX GT 4B10 4B11 4B12 I got it on eBay for $99.99 shipped. It was a perfect fit. Take off belt, switch the pulley, and put back on the belt.

Since there is not much aftermarket for these cars we can only do a few little things to boost performance. I read this is good for 2.7hp per lb of rotational weight loss. I don't know if I noticed any actual improvement too little to tell. But I am sure it can't hurt.

AROSPEED weighs 1lb 2.1 oz
Mitsubishi OEM weighs 4lbs 2.9oz
Fluid Damper 570701 weighs 7lbs 1.7 oz

I have read conflicting articles some good\bad on whether this is a bad upgrade to do. Specifically that your crank vibrates at a specific resonance and that can cause clearance issues (oil film thickness between bearings). This can lead to additional engine wear. So do this at your own risk. I also think this might be a better option ATI Super Damper 918253 its 3% under drive but about 2 lbs heavier. Oh and about $350!!! Donations welcome!

So I basically got a Fluid Damper 570701 for free. I plan on installing firmer motor mounts (more to come). I installed this beauty.

Due to the different geometry on the back side of the Harmonic Damper. You will need to grind down the (2) have circle raised bosses. I took my time and ground them with a 3m sanding disk. You can see the where it made contact on the back side during fitting it on my ASX.

Sorry I did not get a picture prior to grinding down these bosses. But here is the final height.

I also noted with the Light Weight Pulley when installed on the Crankshaft it was about 1/16" recessed. So I used that as my guide. I also folded over a piece of 4x times to confirm it would not rub on the backside of the Fluid Damper..

I notice a huge improvement in felt vibrations. It really fells like a different engine. Super costly but worth it if you plan on firm motor mounts. IMHO

Lightweight Rims and Tires...Completed

I wanted a more aggressive tread and taller/wider tires. While staying in the same relative weight. The Stock 18" Rim and Nexen 225/55/18H package weighs 48lbs 12.5 oz. I have not weight the Konig/Yokohama but based on specs they are about the same around 50lbs weight.

The Konig Backbone rims and 255/65R16 Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 109H tires look great together. They are not perfect as they are tight and if you turn with the wheel locked they rub. But this is when you have you steering locked to the end of travel. If your a 1/8 turn away from being locked in either direction your fine all day long.

The stock tire is 8.9" wide and 27.7" tall these bad boys are 10" wide and 29.1" tall. But other than that are perfect except for the front sway bar endlinks have very little clearance.
  • Konig Backbone Matte Black 6 Spoke (16X7"/5X114.3mm, +40 Offset 73.1) BC67514405
  • 255/65R16 Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 109H SL/4 Ply BSW Tires
  • Gorilla Automotive 21133BC Small Diameter Acorn Black 5 Lug Kit (12mm x 1.50 Thread Size) - Pack of 20

The rear camber adjustment part you listed is for Chrysler? Have you tested if this fits? I plan on doing the same lift. Also, are the lower control arms necessary or is that just an upgrade?
