Best Tuner Shop for MR?

Hey there,

So I have been looking around, and asking questions and I thought I would just toss up a thread to get some more feedback. I am looking for the closest reliable tuner shop for my MR. I live near Vancouver B.C. They need to be able to work with MRs and have experience with them.

If anyone has any feedback, it would be appreciated greatly.

Thanks

**got all the info i needed from evox forums. thanks guys. feel free to add anything you have to say though **

Never heard of them.....I found their website using the SEARCH ENGINE.

Although they seem more specialized towards subies....some people stated they have tune quite a few evo x.

Best tuner shop for an MR is BakaUnchi. Do not waste your time going anywhere else.

My X MR is currently making (and more importantly holding) 362/391 through 78k mile old stock clutch packs. I had 4 people in the car and shifted at 6500 so it would fall to peak torque and did several 3-5 rips without any slipping.

Still not sure how it happened but I somehow popped a hole in the head of my MR and had a new block built by English Racing. I think the first go around was tuned a bit aggressively, but such is the way it goes when playing on track. I don't think I was that clear (and I was, and am, still learning) in making sure it was safe for a track duty car. The second go around the car was tuned appropriately and has been running great for a couple years now on the rebuild.

I want to be clear in that it sees some rough duty. So the initial failure is hard to chalk up to any one source. Sometimes three to four hours a day of full throttle sessions and it's held up great.

I'm in the middle of dropping in a surge tank and I'll likely need to have the injectors rescaled but I'm going right back to them for that work when I'm ready.

If your worried about service, I had a small oil leak from a plug that just happened to be sized slightly incorrectly thread wise. Sized incorrectly enough that it only really developed a leak when the car was pushed. Under normal conditions it was fine. Had to take it back to them but they were quick on fixing it and making it right.

Hard not to recommend them for your particular needs.

Still in one piece:
