It said it was salvaged because of hail damage, i don't know if that is just a blanket excuse everyone uses. It has hailed a lot lately, though.

I think my mechanic knows the owners of Lux. I'll give him a call & report back what I find.

Also, skip that car. You could find a similar mileage car for a little bit more money with a clean title. Evo X's are dropping in price, 26k will get you into a clean title one with similar miles.

If you Google the VIN many of the auction sites report Primary Damage as Water/Flood and Secondary Damage as hail.

Also, look here: https://cs.copart.com/v1/AUTH_svc.pd...a862f812b8.JPG

I don't see any hail damage in that picture.

Stay far away from that car.

There are 2 decently priced clean title MRs closer to you. http://www.firstnautoseverett.com/se...bishi/tp-mk43/

I've been to first national and they are pretty shady. The white 2014 popped hot for a front end collision (that had been repaired). When I test drove it it was throwing an AWC Service warning.

Would stuff like that be covered under warranty, though? I don't know what voids the Manufacturer warranties on these.

a service light that's likely due to an accident? no chance

IMO don't rush into an evo just because you want one. Finding one that hasn't been wrecked and repaired or beat on or neglected will be WAY more worth it in the long run. countless people have bought el-cheapo and ended up spending more in the end and still having headaches with it.
