OG Evo Roll Call

Who is still active on this forum and who still has their cars? I know of a 5-6 first owner cars still in WA/OR/ID, a dozen or so second owner cars, etc. I noticed the last time anyone posted in here was 2021 during the pandemic. Curious to see what everyone is up to.

Aaron

i had a black 9 GSR since 2006 that I swapped for a white MR in 2013 and have had since. Think I'm the 3rd owner of the MR. Do I still count

Started with Evos in SoCal in summer 03 but was mostly just wrenching on friends cars. Couldn’t afford a Evo so I had a GVR4. Finally got my own Evo in late 2013. Still have it. This was taken last weekend.

I moved to the Seattle area about 4 years ago for a new job and really like it up here but between family and work the hobby has taken a back seat. I still try to participate in Evo specific community as life allows.

Took my S2k to a track day at the Ridge last week. That is such a fun a track.

Awesome to see your cars and hear about them. I havent been active on this forum for years obviously but I still come in and look around every few months and I was like who really is on here? I sold my 9 in 2013, then purchased a X MR in 2014 which I had for 4 years. After that I started down V6 the world and had an Acura TL SHAWD, then 2 different Explorers. This gray one is 585/604 on E30 and 545/571 on 92 but if that isnt enough I can spray a 70 shot on top.

Its not 2 of the big ones but it gets it done

First to have 17" drag wheels on the back

Pretty fun powerband

That’s a serious abundance of torque. A compelling argument for the Explorer. We want to replace my wife’s TSX wagon with something bigger/taller. After 20+ years of only Japanese vehicles it’s tough to jump ship.
Have you done much towing with the Exploder? Do you tow your EG around with it?

I havent done any towing personally but we have a customer that tows his STi with his Explorer ST on a lighter aluminum trailer just fine. It is rated at 6500lbs and has a normal receiver on it factory. The main advantage of the newer Fords is they are inexpensive to repair and more Ford of Germany than Ford NA.
