Could some one let me know how I go about acquiring the 96260709 ROM via making a donation ? I would like this ROM to replace the 96260007 ROM in my EVO8 MR.

What errors are you getting?
It says it does not recognize the rom image. My tuner tells me to down load Tephra and place something in the rommetdata/mitsubishi/evo floder. He says its simple, yeah for him.... |
And when trying to write to the ECU it states " Flashing tools do not recognize flash method"
|
My ECU I.D. is 88590015, does that matter?

there are a set of xml definitions for each rom (they are on the first page, second post just extract them to the folder you mentioned) and I think you can get them all in one go. You can't just download any rom to the car you have to have one that has the same ID, for you it would be the 88590715.
Why do you want to change the rom now if the old one was fine and the engine failed due to the overheating then you should be able to run in the new engine with that rom. then when you've finished that take it to your tuner to do the tuning... as it seems that you don't really know what your doing with the rom and could do more damage. Do you have a way of measuring the AFR's etc? |

Is it "XML packs for all Evos" that I download or USDM Evo IX / option 1 - 88590715 on the first page?
|
down load the all pack as theres probably scaling values that you need which are causing it to crash
|
The 88590715 xml has errors in it that cause ecuflash 1.43 to crash. PM me your email address and I'll email you mine tonight.

I uploaded it and it worked but the car won't idle at all, even after warm up. I found 1 vacume leak but nothing else.
|
Ok all is fixed and running. I requested that my tune set my break in tune with my new 4 bar Omni sensor but he forgot. After speaking to him I put the oem map sensor back in and it's running great. I put 15 miles on it but now I have to figure out the grinding/rubbing noise I feel in the floor board. It's a new Jacks racing trans so I hope it has something to do with the balance shaft delete... Thank you guys for your help, talk about being stuck in a rut. Thanks again

Pproblem switching too 88590715 from 88570008!! Disabled the immobiliser and swapped over all maps that were necessary. It starts up but won't idle at all on start up. Do I need to reset the idle or am I missing a table to swap over??
If I run the v5.1 then I have no issues or even revert back to original Rom. I'm after the launch maps ... |
have you copied over the idle control tables?
