what are you saying Evo82nr? that i try to sell you an inferior product?
1. many ball bearing turbos have very mild shaft play and they are fine.
2. rnr gt35r kit never came with an anti-surge port.
3. you new it was rusted(its normal for turbos to get rusted). i even sent you a pics of the turbo
price on the kit is cheap because i dont need it anymore, not because they are an inferior product.

oh... well I didn't expect any shaft play at all...
hmmm
Sure wish I can have it in-hand for inspection.
Where about are you?

i live in maryland. i believe all ball bearing turbos have little bit of shaft play because of their design. my current turbo also has little bit of shaft play but i run it at 30+ pounds when we tune it and it seems to be fine. if you want to look at it in person you are more than welcome to.

BB turbos all have shaft play, its normal, once oil is in the cartridge it tightens up. To better check the turbo you need to pour a bit of oil in the feed line and try and spin it, if it spins and goes on for a 5 seconds or more then your're fine. All turbos rust, its normal. Some guys should do better research before posting a complaint on what is possibly a perfectly working kit.

superz is correct, it will need to have some so things can expand and it still roll very smoothly without getting tight, once it heats up and oil is on it you should be able to shut off the car and still hear it spin for 5seconds and slow down within time, not all at once. So it sounds perfectly normal to me.

Ditto...
cast iron + water = mucho rust.
I think you also need to be a little more specific about "shaft play". There's axial play and radial play. I'm pretty sure you need to be concerned with axial play or the amount of thrust play.
