10.5Cm2 Hotside housing with extra!!!
Well I finally was able to get a BR500 turbo kit and hence dont need my 10.5cm2 hotside housing that I purchased from ForcedPerformance.net back in January.
I took the hotside housing to my local tuner and he made me aware that the scroll wasnt close enough to the wheel, so I took it to Darrell *** in Eden, NC and got him to weld it up, and machine it back down to the closest safe tolerence. If you think about it, when the scroll isnt as close as it can be to the exhaust wheel, that air is not being forced into the wheel and therefore is able to escape and obviously wasted. Where if you weld it up and get it as close as safely possible, then that air cant do anything but spin the exhaust wheel.
This leads to 200rpm spool up quicker than the stock housing, and also will allow the turbo to spin a few hundered more rpm's, giving the top end a little more punch.
Here is a pic of where it was welded and machined back down with a pencil grinder:
Its $295.00 on ForcedPerformance.net, I paid $70 to get it welded.
First to give $225 gets it.
Thanks,
John
