We have the Nasty Habanero very close to being finished, with just the O2 Dump/Downpipe left to complete. We will be shipping these out to Brian overnight so he can make his Dyno-Session this week. We are excited to see what kinda crazy numbers he lays down. And also the unveiling to the EVO communityof the EPM Nasty Habanero. Our big Move to our New Facility really hurt us time wise and the ability to get back to doing our R&D of this crazy new Manifold. Brian we appreciate you being understanding; we already have the box Next Day Air ready for the UPS truck....wish we could be there when you open that box....to see the Big Super Smooth Radius Bends of the Nasty Habanero.

Stay Tuned for the Wildest Buildup of 2008

I posted this in the EPM dump thread...i don't know if it would be a fair comparison really but would there be anyway to test a ported stock manifold against the Nasty Habanero?? I know the NB will be forward facing and i didn't know if you would want to put the time into doing this but i was just wondering. That would be awesome if you could do a ported stock manifold vs. the Nasty Habanero. If not i guess we will have to wait for someone to get a non-forward facing manifold to do the test for us...let us know, thanks Brian!

BTW what wast Curt Brown's record...was it at 10.5 or so?? I thought he did that on an FPgreen...maybe i'm wrong...

ported stock manifolds have been proven to make just as much if not more power than turbo manifolds for stock turbos....some are designed really well like the JMFAB one and didnt lose spool or anything..

IMO there are just eyecandy

I am going to try to test back to back if time allows and if the tuner is willing to dedicate the time. But so much time has passed I may have to wait. We have so much to do and December 7th is coming fast also. The CB record has always been in question to many. He went 10.59@127. The car was light, but no where near the weight my car is. I know he had a very well set up motor, but so is mine. So if he legitimately ran a stock turbo I should be able to take the record.

Shacochis06-then don't buy one I for one can't wait for my eye candy-lol. Plus, you are guessing at best. You have no data on the new mani design. So your saying no one should ever try to develop new things. What about weight savings? What about looks? I for one can't stand the sight of a stock mani and they weight a ton. People will spend 1k on a carbon fiber hood for looks and weight!!! People spend 300 on motor mounts!!! Lets call Rob at FP and tell him to halt all R&D because he will never be able to better the current cams and turbo's he has. I'll call GM and tell them to stop R&D on the Z06 too. People like EPM are great innovators and should be respected for being willing to take the time and at least test new ideas. Please stop interjecting your negativity about it in my thread. If your not interested in it, then don't buy it. It is not for you. All I know is the soon to be Quickest Stock Turbo IX will have it in place when it runs the World Record run This new build is about trying new ideas and thinking outside the box. No this build is not for everyone, but it will change the way people feel about stock/ stock appearing turbos.......... Let it continue being a fun thread and not a debate. The results will speak for themselves in a few days.

haha i know most of the tubular manifolds for stock/stock appearing turbos have been known to just be "eye candy" thats why i am asking for a comparison of the 2...with the amount of R&D that EPM has put into this and how their 02 dump performed i hope that the Nasty Habanero is not gonna just be "eye candy"...

so what testing has EPM done on the manifold then? didnt they just build it and send it to you so you could make your dyno appt? so id like to see some test results then

im not bashing it i mean if you can afford it more power to you

I know for a fact a competitors long runner Manifold for the Stock9 Turbo makes big power up top. Now does that equate to a realistic bang for the buck? That's in the hands of the buyer, $1000+ to get 25 HP up top, some will say that is worth it. Just like the people that buy nothing but Ebay parts, it is all in personal preference and budget.
This is Brian's thread and let's keep it focused on his Build-Up. You can go to our thread and see my latest post about this subject..

Brian we are burning the midnight oil trying to get these ready for you....lots of progress will be made today....

Picked up my carbon fiber hood today and steering wheel from Mike at AWDMOTORSPORTS. Also picked up the E85. It was $1.99 That is just amazing to me. I am running up to CFT tomorrow to drop off the last few parts in hopes to be hearing her run on Friday

Sorry Brian i haven't kept up as much as i would like but i think i read that the EPM manifold will be for a stock frame turbo correct first the oem and then a red?

If so i'm glad to see someone do that as i have talked with the guys at the shop about doing a custom tubular mani for the stock frame turbos.

Can't wait to see the products and results.

You have seriously made me think about the direction my car goes as far as the set-up goes.
