Wow, the car does looking excellent. I am surprised how great it looks a lot of times when a bunch of weight comes out the finished product sucks. Yours looks freaking great! It's just missing some sponsor stickers......
#467
Thanks David, that means alot. Just because its a drag car doesn't mean it can't be tastefully done I have your stickers ready for install. They are going in the number one spot on the rocker panels I was waiting on one other sponsor to get me his stickers so I can evenly space them. The car has left my possession once again. I feel like a divorced parent with very limited visiting rights-LOL... When she returns in a week I will have more time to finish up what I started(stickers, paint, etc). By the way, I love your hood..... Bet you didn't notice it is your Robi spec....

Oh yeah, cage was certifed today. Parachute is done, seat has been back braced, and new trailer ramps have also been made for easier loading. Next week, back to Mikes to start on getting her finished. Christmas will screw up the week a little, but the car should be back on the dyno week after Christmas. Alot have asked why I am doing all this to the car and the answer is simple. I refuse to run the car at track rentals only. I want to go to the track on any given Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday and run with the big dogs. This car is now 100% 8.50 legit. Only thing left to do is aluminum valve stems and roll bar padding. I got harassed at my track when I was running 11.50's, that will not happen anymore. This car has all safety gear like driveshaft loop, engine diaper, battery cut off switch, firewall, 10 pt cage, etc, etc.... I just want to have fun and not worry about tech. Here are a few pics. The chute itself wasn't installed until today. It is a Stroud Pro Stock chute
And the parachute is removable with one small bolt in the back of the car.

It was great to finally meet you and the wife a couple weeks ago. We also had lots of fun and good conversation in the stands, watching the cars run. Soon I'll be watching you run...SOON. I know you are so ready to get out there.
Brian the car looks GREAT in person....nah let me restate that it looks MOST AWESOME The front end is a beautiful piece of work but so is the cage and the chute and the seat and on and on.
Keep us posted on your dyno trip
Happy Holidays

Not yet, just baselines without tuning for engine testing. On e85 and only 20.7 psi the car made 400whp on stock turbo. From what we've seen so far I'm guessing we will see around 475 stock turbo and 620-630 on the red. I will post all the graphs when it is on the dyno for tuning. Should be right after Christmas I'm leaving in the morning to bring the car back from the chassis shop to the house. At least she'll spend Christmas at home LOL.... I'll take pics tomorrow of the chute finished.

out of curiosity what makes you think youll see 620-630ish on Mikes dynojet?....didnt 9sec9 do a crazy 560ish on BR dyno? and isnt this car almost the same mod wise?...i say around 590 if that
#478
People are doing 520 on stock internals with the boost turned down on dynojets. Someone also just did 430 on 26psi and on 93 octane Cant compare MOST mustang dynos to dynojets. I would think if 9sec9 dynoed on a dynojet you would see 600. His car is very well put together. In a little over a week we will see what mine does....

I have no idea what they did as I don't follow it. Also cant compare cars. I have very little in common motor wise other than who built it. I'm not running the same fuel, fuel system, valvetrain, intake mani, exhaust mani, etc, etc... I know what has been dynoed locally at various shops and the numbers that have been put out. From what I have seen I think we will see high 500's at a minimum and am hoping for low 600's from my set up. No reason to speculate, just conversation. When it dyno's I will post the numbers. As for comparison, shouldn't compare my car to another as I can't compare mine to to Annibals. It only takes one part to separate the numbers I could be minus 30 or plus 30.... That being said, okix car's dyno numbers are bound to be the benchmark. Whatever it would be on Mike's dynojet I would think it will be very difficult to duplicate.
