New build at ASAP-EVO IX-4G69 on E-85
#93
Was the 4g69 left in it? Mine is just about to be completed while another member on here getsideways has his running and is currently having issues with a freeze plug blowing out. We're hoping that there isn't some major difference in coolant passage flow with this block. Would be extremely helpful if the car could be tracked down if in fact it is still running the 69 block.

For the sake of helping getsideways with his process of elimination did the 69 have any issues with the freeze plugs or coolant pressurization issues? I know the engine got on the dyno but believe the crank pulley bolt was not tightened and that had to be fixed. Was unable to follow the car further than that.

Really? Ha, he and I talk about fueling solutions from time to time and he's never mentioned the 69 projects. Just trying to get to the bottom of the problem sideways is having. Thanks for the heads up

I think we did tune a turbo 2005 eclipse which should have been a 4G69. I havent built one personally but Nick at JE was doing one for his Evo last I heard.
Freeze plugs are typically installation by the machine shop and/or not using factory freeze plugs. The other thing is the head lifting or a blown headgasket but I dont think there are any coolant differences in the blocks to make it randomly do it.
