I hear you man. Since i finally have the income to build the motor im trying to use the best possible options for my 2.0LR. Not gonna be aluminum since i will most likely be running the block for a good amount of time. Would be nice to run titanium though haha

Thanks for the info man... you just tacked on at least $1k to my build lol

dude i just read this whole 14 page thread, i must admit man im not the envious type but that garage with the twin post lift, thats awesome i hate fu*kin with jackstands and jacks a lift makes work 10x easier haha...as for your car its lookin like a sweet pair of DD's...haha, lookin forward to see how your doin with your times at the track... Dont ya hate when you in for a big build and time delays due to issues like that, but remember its all worth it at the end. When my engine was built between warranty issues, back order on parts including turbo, mine took about 6 months or so to finish but well worth it in the end.

Its not done yet but its getting closer. Hopefully it'll be out in the next 4-6 weeks. 9.9@145 and to get to enjoy it more this year. Last year was full of headaches.

Thanks, when we bought the house it had a leaning single car garage. This has been a nice upgrade, I must admit I sure could use more space though lol. I'm sure it'll be fun once its all done, this has taken A LOT longer than it was originally supposed to be down for but some unexpected things popped up and some last minute changes added to the time frame. Mine has been down since Sept but has been in project stage since November.

I got my drive shaft back today, I was so ****ing excited to have it all buttoned up and ready to leave next weekend! Then I opened it and it and saw that it has the same incorrect carrier bearing!! I paid $90 to ship it and waited almost 4 weeks to get back the exact same incorrect part I returned to get corrected.

In the picture the bearing mounted is the one installed on the drive shaft, it is mounted to the front carrier bearing mount on the car. It looks identical to the rear carrier bearing of a stock drive shaft and does not fit the front mounting location. The loose bearing is the front carrier bearing off a stock drive shaft.

Notice the different length and bend.

This is completely bolted into place, notice how it does not mount flush with the car and pushes the shaft into the floor pan. Also notice the difference in the loose carrier bearing mounting flange.

I stated this in two separate phone calls and in a pm and I believe I even offered pictures to show the differences between the front and rear carrier bearings.

Here are the pics to show the difference in case this happens to anyone else.
