Thanks!

I always have something around, I live in a decent neighborhood but I work with enough people day to day that I know it only takes one crazy or desperate person to escalate situations. I feel and have always felt 99% of the time firearms aren't needed but after having a knife pulled on me out of town a few years ago and the amount of violent attacks on citizens on the rise I'd rather have that 1% covered also.

I used to never carry out to the garage but my neighbor(now ex renter) was robbed twice and once was three men at gun point, it was completely self inflected as his primary choice of self employment was selling drugs. Shots were fired and the police responded very quickly but had they not I decided I didn't want to be left "defenseless" if anything ever happened again.

I keep a 12 gauge with me when I'm in the garage. It has come in handy once, and I suspect it may prove itself useful once again.

But yeah nice harness!

JAM!!

Still no engine, Magnus has been great at keeping me up on the status of the short block but had some issues with incorrect bearings and then incorrect pistons. I was a little concerned at first as the first set took 4 weeks but they got the replacements out very quickly.

Lookin' great as always, man! Out of curiosity, what loom did you use for your harness? I wasn't satisfied with the loom I've found thus far, but really like the stuff you used.

I used raychem dr-25 (heat shrink not loom) for the main harnessand I used an expanding web style loom for the charging harness.

Update
New cams and Magnus short block are in my possession!

Thursday I made a quick trip(26 hrs straight through) up the Magnus with a friend to pickup the short block and shoot the **** with the guys. We had a great time and felt right at home, its such a nice change of environment for a shop to treat a customers with respect and a great attitude.

I'm still waiting on some tools to arrive so I can degree the cams and check ptv before I final assemble everything as well as some clutch line parts. The head was gone through but I was cautioned by Dave at headgames to keep an eye on everything as its been milled a few times and there is a question of rocker arm geometry from a previous companies machining.

Old valve reliefs vs New reliefs. I always had slight ptv with the old pistons, I had probably filed them down 3 times and it was there every time I pulled the head off.

The head is essentially the same as it was on the 2.0 except I decided to change from the 11.0mm lift s2's to the 11.7mm lift of the s3's with Aaron at ER repeatedly suggested for the LR2.4 guys.

I hadn't seen everything together in almost a year so just a quick mock up with the new parts.

old vs new
2.0-2.4 long rod
9.0:1-10.x:1
stock crank-Billet crank
11.0mmlift cam-11.7mm lift cam
4.52FD-4.11FD

The weight of the car has pretty much stayed the same as 2011 and should be about 2700lbs w/o driver race weight and add 150 or so for street weight.

If everything checks out good I hope to have it in this weekend.
