lol^

First time launching on the new setup, 9th full pass in 2 years and only the 11th pass since 2009 but it went 10.7@141 with a 1.8 60 foot. Looking at the logs were hilarious/sad, I lifted in 1st when it "felt" sideways and upset the car going into 2nd causing it to bounce, shifted 3rd 400 rpm early and completed the pass. It was great to make a full pass in the car again and for my first time at the shootout and in front of a crowd I was extremely happy with how it ran. I just need to improve how I operate lol. It was also my first time launching with the staging brake so my timing was a little off. The only other time I have ever used it was my first practice try at the hotel before we went to the track. I had just been so busy I never had a chance to practice. The pass before this one it bogged and the pass after it I though I broke the rear diff and aborted the run. Turns out I lost a wheel weight and just picked some rubber up on one of the tires causing it to shake (a LOT). It was for the best anyways as my laptop had died so I was relying on internal logging and at some point during the pass my o2 sensor stopped working.

Im going to try and go out wednesday and get some more seat time, hopefully get the 1.8 down to a 1.5 and improve my shifting a little. I wasnt no lift shifting either, just trying to make it down the track.

I've probably asked this before but my memory is terrible...What CF trunk do you have on your car? I like that it doesn't have a key hole...weight, fitment?

Its a seibon, I can't remember the weight but I think it dropped 10lbs. Fitment was great once I heated the torsion rods a little. I hated the way the keyhole looked and am more of a wingless guy myself so it was an easy decision.

Good seeing you last Wednesday Wheatley.

I'm glad I was part of your last run - looks like all you needed was some friendly competition to have a sick one.

Glad the car is running strong. I'm sure I'll catch you around. Hopefully it's not 2-3 years apart.

Not much of an update. I decided to make an air dam for the car after ripping the stock lip off the night before DSM shootout. Its about 3.25 inches from the ground, seemed to help mph but unable to really test to see if et improved any.

Took it to the track Wednesday, it had a weird ign stumble off the line and 2 step is still building way too much boost. I missed 2nd AGAIN! 10.7@149.5

Next pass I almost put the car into the wall. Water came from somewhere and wet the tires down. Im pressure testing the system tonight to see where it came from, nothing looked bad when I checked it in the puts so hopefully nothing major. It was SCARY as **** thats for sure.

Skip ahead 30 second

Other than that the car is doing great. I need to lower the 2 step and maybe not get on it so early. Its at 7200 now and only on it about 3 second from what the log is showing but its building way too much boost.

Very nice build and clean setup Car looks crazy in the video and luckily it wasn't lost from the water or what ever what may have been on the track if it wasn't the car. I am sure that was a little unpleasing breaking loose like that.

I am glade to hear that you like your 2.4LR motor as I am currently working on one for my self and am looking forward to it

Thanks,
Dallin

That was wild to see....

You're saying that was from water? When was the last time your alignment was done?

Car looks nasty. Nice job.

It was from water, freeze plug above the trans came out. So it was a LOT of water at once.
