The car is driving amazing. The feel of the bc coilovers are not far off from the bilstein/swift combo. I like the ride. The wheels have not rubbed once on anything. I get no rubbing on any splash shields, fenders, nothing. These wheels are made for the evo.
Car is torn down once again tonight lol. I have a muse upper intercooler pipe(short route) coming. As well as a muse small battery tray, with a odyssey battery. Ill be running the stock 9 bov still till I get the money for a tune. Then I will get a tial qr on there. I also have a jmfab intake pipe on the way, so this will all go on soon.

haha, I am prolly gonna raise the front just a hair. I have scraped the lip 3 times today already. Nothing too major, but it did scrape. So im probably gonna raise the front up a hair. When I autocross this summer, I can see this thing dragging the ground on hard turns. lol

Far from it, I just dont care for the 9 front end. I took advantage of people wanting to trade for the 9 bumper. I traded my 9 front for an 8 front and cash, so Im happy.

I got the Muse upper intercooler pipe and small battery kit today. I am still waiting on the battery. Leave it to the post office to let me down, like they always do.
I got the battery kit bolted down and ready to roll, just need battery. Only complaint I have about the mue motorsports battery tray, is it could be one piece to avoid putting the two pieces together. Especially with the messed up angle the bolts go in. BUt, in the end, I got it and its bolted down awaiting the battery.
The piping looks great. Stainless, so I dont have to worry about keeping it polished like aluminum. Everything id fitting pretty good. Where the lower section connects to the intercooler is a little more of an angle than I would like though. Most people with throw a hump coupler there or just stretch a straight. I have had bad luck with blowing couplers off in my 1g. I dont want any of that for the evo. So tomorrow, I am heading over to a good buddy's shop (Speed Source) and having Carl weld a little section onto the intercooler end so the piping will mate and I can run a straight coupler with no issues.
The Stm intake pipe, well........It fits perfect. What can I say! lol. Everything is good with clearance between the vibrant filter and acd reservoir.

Battery installed and finished. I still need to organize some wires, but other than that, its finished. I am gonna put the evo on a break for awhile. I got my gsxr, that needs painted and ready to hit the road. It will be my first summer with a bike, it should be fun!
At least for now, no more big updates. I will continue to clean up things, replace rusty bolts(starting with the strut bar) lol.

I dont think I will be doing any tucking on the evo. I did on my 1g dsm and it made it pita to work on. I still need to organize the wires, but no tucking on this project.

Little update. I got the brembos taken off. I sanded them all down last week and shot them in a lexus pearl white (glacier frost mica). I figured while I was at it, I might as well do the valve cover. I dont know if it was just mine, but my valve cover had tons of pitting and imperfections I had to work out before paint.
I am also officially wingless. I picked up a base lancer trunklid for $40 from a pick and pull junkyard. Painted it electric blue and threw it on. Nice thing is, is I have my stock trunk and wing in case I ever wanna change it up!
Oh well.... everything is finished and back on!
