I had an epiphany last night about brake ducts, oil coolers, and ACD pumps. I'm now sure how I've designed.... the best brake ducting setup available for the Evo's.

With that in mind. I'm selling my oil cooler setup and brackets. Yes the Titanium brackets that weigh nothing and the oil cooler...and the lines. LMK if you're interested.

After that, we can try cranking the car in 1st and moving and see if I can't get a max. Finally, trying to grab the max from starting the car. Granted, built engines with lighter rotating assemblies will have lower starting current and it also depends if you have the neutral safety switch engaged. Pushing the clutch in will remove the load of the transmission and clutch from the starting load.
Sounds like a logging Multimeter would be your friend. Or at least one that has a Min / Max mode. Zip Ties to secure.

Looks great man and congrats on the incoming son!
Any insight on how you fixture your abrasive chop saw for cutting mandrel bends?
I've been using a milwaukee horizontal mount band saw with mixed results.

I eye ball it. I usually mark it with a sharpie tangent to the bend and then cut it as best I can with the chop saw, then finish the cut in the vice... then use a sanding table to make it perfectly flat.

Sounds like what I do with the band saw and belt sander/ fence combination.
Great design/fab work!
Thanks for the insight.

The crowded part (Seattle). I lived in Bellingham for about 4 months around 2000, loved it. Let me know if you stop down this way or if you are going to any events this summer, It'd be cool to see the car.

Interested in this. Can't wait to see what you have cooked up! Pretty sure I'm going to move/delete the oil cooler and haven't seen a good ducting solution that I like yet.

also very interested to see the oil cooler setup...i was staring at my car yesterday and wondering why no one has used a wide short cooler and mounted it on top of the intercooler...im probably missing a good reason.

Well we all know the labor costs for the welding is a big fat $0. As for the materials, maybe he can share with us.
