Thanks Freddie I'll check it out. I think I'll definitely swap to a Walbro 400 "265" and be good.

Damn good thread. Pretty sure I am taking my valve cover to the machine shop and having them do what you did. Actually, I'll be forcing them to do what you did.

I think The time has come to sell my Evo. Sad day indeed. I've determined that I'm cylindrically challenged and would like to step up to an AWD 6 cylinder turbo car. I'd like to make the jump to a v8 AWD twin turbo... But the RS7 is too rich for my blood! After much deliberation I think I'm going to buy a 996TT and modify it quite similar to how I did my Evo. Ohlins, CCW's, AD08R's, e85, injector dynamics, EFR7163's etc... I'll be polishing and detailing the car and dialing in the flex fuel tune over the next few weeks to prep it for sale. If you know someone who may be interested my email is eurness@gmail.com

Well ...... six cylinders do make a lovely sound. 12 cylinders do too. I've always liked them for that. 1958 Ferrari Testa Rossa, now there's a sweet sound. Any Multiple of 6 I guess
Enjoy!

I think (if you've modified cars for any length of time) you realize if you have huge hp goals, then more cylinders is the first thing you should look for.

Thanks for an inspiring build. I know it influenced mine. The Evo is a great car. It can do a lot of things. But ultimately, it's only 4 cylinders

Oh no Eric, will be sad to see you leave the Evo community, you have brought a wealth of knowledge to us.

However the 996TT is an awesome piece of machinery.

All the best
Cheers.

Wanted to also say thanks for sharing so much to the community. I think your build direction was on a good track to grow in the future with quality parts. I hope to follow one day soon.

Dang, that sucks. Your Evo is awesome, as is your build thread.

I would like to take this opportunity and thank you for not moving on to a new GTR like everyone else .
Good luck. Start a build thread on the 996.

Freddie! I still miss kicking it with you in Washington when I was super fresh into Evos. Thanks for teaching me and helping me get my feet on the Evo stuff!

Yeah a GTR is a great car. The 996TT/997TT is under the Volkswagen Auto Group, so given what I do for work now... I have a lot of ability to make the stock ECU do what I want. The GTR's one weakness is weight. The 996TT/997TT can weigh 3150 easily and produce 750awhp on E85 with some fab work... with the potential to squeeze off 1000awhp with a built engine and modified transmission. And that's been a personal goal of mine for a while... its just a number, but I happen to like numbers

A build thread on this forum or a link to another for the 996TT build is mandatory, I hope you know
