Here is a few more pics of bits and pieces

dump pipe flange lightened

Thin wall 3.5" dump pipe

And the twin plate clutch and flywheel, this actually weighs less than the bare stock flywheel alone

And the new wheel and tyre package (another set of rpf-01s) with Z221s

At this point I managed to strip out the rooted old engine loom ready for the new custom tefzel loom for the motec,
mounted the new air temp and water temp sensors too.
Because a lot of stuff is run though the dash it should be a fairly simple/basic rewire.

I also test fitted most of the fibreglass panels again too, this is the first time I have really had most of the parts
on all at the same time.

The weight loss obsession and upgrades continue on.

The fuel tank is now also completed, just need to add the filler system now.

Replaced all of the brass t-pieces and barb fittings with alloy ones.

And finally have these on the way, They have 20mm extra inner clearance(i should now be able to fit a 10" rim on the back),
3kgs lighter than the stock arms (per arm=6kgs total),
They accepts the late model bolt on bearing/hub assembly(4-9) and its already fitted with a bracket for the rear brembos(i currently run bolt on adaptors)
I no longer run the stock toe arm so these dont have a provision for them.
Toe adjustment is done on the front joint with a threaded setup, no shims.
The standard rear end binds badly on bump so the aim of these and removing the toe arms is to free it up a bit, no doubt there
will be side affects but hopefully less than the stock setup.

The bigger clutch slave was modified and installed finally, up from the stock size (18mm I think?)
to 22mm, it has reduced the throw a of the fork compared to pedal travel,
it was border line over throwing with the stock slave cylinder due to the twin plate.

The exhaust is pretty much complete now, it just needs a rear hanger and its done....yay.
I'll then remove the dump and screamer for coating as the dump (3.5") is pretty close to the sumo and transfer

Very nice, Ive always had the thing for the original body style cars, and I owned a Galant VR-4 as my first car, despite blowing the motor in 72 hours of the purchase. I absolutely love the sheet metal work.. Gives me a little inspiration

Awesome work! What is the final weight goal? It seems to me that about 2000 lbs is in the right range but looks like more aero is needed to create substantial down-force.

BTW, who made the tubular front sub-frame and rear sub-frame?
