Maybe, a rotary is the safest form of polishing. Just remember heat is the enemy when it comes to polishing. STAY AWAY from trim pieces, taping them up helps, because you can melt them or damage them with a buffer.

If you need any guidance pm me and I will try to help.

Sorry for thread jacking.

Rotary is far from the safest way to polish, it's the most aggressive and can cause serious paint damage if used incorrectly. I think you mean to say random orbital... Such as the porter cable, those are damn near impossible to ruin paint with

Yeah sorry my wording is a little messed up. Those pads and process I described was with a porter cable. I've been using rotarys so long I just call them high speed buffers and don't think of the technical names any more.

Looking good man. It's killing me that I have nothing to do with my car this winter. I thought of having my hot parts kit for my turbo coated, but too lazy to take It apart lol.

Awesome thread man! Love you attention to detail and cleanliness. Also love that you have a TB evo as well and I feel your pain on cleaning it / keeping it up to date.

And I know what you're talking about having to pay premium $$ to have an apartment w/ garage. Right now I have a prime apartment near downtown Charlotte that has a garage below the the apartment. Runs a little over 1,300 and that's ridiculous I feel. Can't wait until my lease ends so I can try to get one around a grand. :/

I'll echo all the others in saying it's a beautiful car due to your attention to detail(ing).

AC delete in Texas? You are brave.

any pics of the new oil housing fittings and such? I'm looking to put in some oil temp/ pressure gauges and am trying to figure out the best way to install the sensors.

This is how I routed my stuff. I switched the brass T out for an Earl's blue anodized fitting because I was scared the brass would get brittle and break. But the setup is exactly the same. I have the AMS remote sensor for my oil pressure gauge so that I can mount it up on the frame away from vibration, and the temp sensor is on the other end of the T. The main oil port is used to feed the turbo with the MAP oil line as shown in the bottom picture

What size is the Earls part? Do you have a part number?
