The garage is coming along... Light fixtures are mounted. 7 fixtures that hold (4) 4' T8 32W bulbs in a 500sq ft garage. . I also have another fixture that will hang above the workspace. After the lighting I'll be wiring the 220v outlet... Then insulating the attic above the garage.
Cosworth may ship me the head gasket this month... That I ordered in March!

Eric, I have a cosworth .51 87mm headgasket at the house... however, I am out on DET at the moment and won't be back until almost christmas... I like to keep a spare around cause I know how hard those gaskets are to find sometimes...

Cosworth came through with my head gasket.
I'm thinking some titanium intake valves are in order this go around. Garage is getting quotes for injection foam. gonna be comfy.

With out any empirical data to back up my guestimate on how long the Ti valves would last... I would guess probably longer than my shortblock will. And I give built shortblocks a 30k mile lifespan. I'm not looking to incur MORE risks in the valve train department, but then again I don't want to have valve float issues again.
Injection foam is an open cell foam that can be installed in a pre-existing structure (home)... typically injected into the wall cavity to insulate a previously non-insulated sheetrocked frame. This is the case with my garage. I'd like to inject open cell foam into the walls and spray closed cell foam on the top (attic). Looking to make the garage comfortable to work in. Currently it's too cold and in a very short period of time it will be waaaaay too hot. If I can get the insulation sorted now, I can put in the AC unit specifically for the garage when summer rolls around.
My lighting project in the garage is nearing completion. I ended up with 7 fixtures. Each fixture holds (4) T8 32watt fluorescent bulbs... that's 28 bulbs on 1 switch 20 amp breaker 10-2 wire. 1 amp per fixture. 7 amps total, double it during start up 14.... and you should never exceed 75% of the capacity of the circuit (16amps)... so I'm good to go. I read some great article from a Lighting Engineer which explained each aspect of project in great detail... so I rocked it thanks to that guy. After taking soo long to finish the project I'm going to hire an Electrician to hook up the service to the breaker panel... not really because i'm uncomfortable with doing electric work... but because I'm simply too lazy to become motivated to finish the job. I know... I don't know what's gotten into me. I AM however freaking stoked to get my Evo running. Hopefully in time for TX2K14... which may be too optimistic, but hey... unrealistic goals always get things done faster right?

why not use fiberglass (blow or roll) in the attic? whether justified or not, i always worry about moisture issues when using closed cell foam.
btw, i just passed thru the dalles listening to 92.7...

My alternator setup had a bad connector on it. I need to send it back to get fixed. connector pops off. My lithium battery is dead... i got an Odyssey and a nice little trickle charger. Soon again I will buy another Lithium battery, this time I'll spend a little more money on it.
