EvoX2NR's "SloPoke" build

First off, I would like to thank those that are helping and supporting the build:
STM
MAPerformance
Fast Freddie
Force-Fed Performance
JorgeYaHeard
Suprastar and his Shop Monkey garage

Last September I had an opportunity to trade my X for an apex silver 8. The motor needed to be replaced so we slapped another stock motor in the car, and got it ready to start it's progressive change to a sole purposed drag car.

In the beginning:

Bolt-ons-

Weight reduction:

The first step consisted of a IX turbo, Hoosier drag radials, and bolt-ons. The goal was to get it to the 10 second range. It took a lot longer than expected to accomplish the goal since the car went
the first night it was out. But, there were some unforeseen circumstances like the transmission needing a rebuild, and a few minor things like the track actually being too cold in Florida to hook decently.

Race car parts-

After finally getting used to driving the new TRE stage 3 trans (with the HKS 4.11) and Quartermaster 8 Leg clutch (Thanks to MAPerformance for their sponsorship) over the past two visits to the track, I was able to land a 10.89@127 pass! Unforunately, I blew a hole in my over-ported exhaust manifold I just put on the car (whoopsie), so I had to retire for the night.

Now that the 10 second barrier was reached, it is time to see how far we can go on a stock block. I have a local guy (George Freer) that I do some tuning for, and he just happens to be a pretty awesome fabricator from his pre-Navy career. The parts to build a FF 6262 kit are on order and should be all together just in time to have the car ready for Import Face-Off in West Palm at the end of the month.

JorgeYaHeard ported intake manifold, Buschur ported TB, and STM intake manifold spacer/gasket:

The next phase after the stock block will consist of the built motor and turning the wick up with a bigger turbo.

Thanks guys, I try to keep things simple... it seems to work the best (one of the main reasons for wanting an 8 over the X).

The final is real nice... Especially cruising to the track around 3000 RPM doing 80mph... LoL

MBC with the boost at 30psi (though it doesn't see that down the track)

2650 without driver
