So far my car has evo Vi running gear throughout.

Hi
Project is still full steam ahead, Although im in college now so funds have slowed down
I still plan on fitting the A5 v6 engine, i now have ecu, loom, Engine, gearbox, Dual plate clutch.
Still need to get a dual mass flywheel, as you cant get single mass for the dual mass now & also a manual a5 rear diff.
I have one but its automatic, i only use it for fitting up & templates.
This year i have ordered or sourced a Cusco Evo IX Power Brace, Cusco 6 Point Dashdodger Rollcage.
Evo Ix Disc's Drilled & grooved all round. Ebc Red stuff pads allround.
Nrg Evo Ix Wheel Boss kit (very hard & expensive to get hold of)
New window regulator with motors both sides.
Still waiting on an order from mitsubishi, with all the relevant bumper fitting brackets so everything fits up 100%
Going to be ordering a New Evo IX rear bumper during the summer easily €500
Then ive choosen to use Gaz Gold coilovers but cant order them until the car gets weight with full drivetrain in,
So i can pick the right spring rates.
I also got my hands of a genuine set of evo IX wheels to keep everything authentic, Was stooked to get these in such good condition aswell.
Also a special unit thats takes the audi gateway canbus signals & converts them to analogue outputs so i can still use
the genuine evo clocks for speedo & rev & also engine light, as i will be fitting the audi wheel sensors, g sensor & wheel angle sensor
along with the bosch 8.0 system for abs & esp.
This can be disabled at anytime also.
I already got a set of Fx-r hid's for my Evo Ix headlight so i plan on making quad projector evo lights with red cut-off shields so the projector looks red during sunlight.
Ill post pics of the new items soon.
So to answer your question yes, I plan on getting huge progress on this build over the next few months.

Here is my last colt
http://juiceboxforyou.com/2013/02/evil-twin/
I built it to see what the car would be like with an evo engine & short wheelbase etc.
The reason for Diesel engine after this build, Was economy/ Power/ Noise & weight distribution
The Evo engines, Gearbox & transfer box all sit forward of the front axle. leaving alot of overhang weight. Hence understeer.
The A5 engine alone weights the same as the evo engine & gearbox.
But sits only slightly forward of the axle & the gearbox weight is all behind the axle.
So this leaves a better weight split, Plus in a car only weighing between 1280-1350kg & geared high
Leaves engine rev's at 1500rpm at 120km/h & when worked out should return anywere between 40-50mpg.
The car will be running a hybrid gtb2265 turbo & just one silencer & pass NCT/SVA all day long even after it's mapped.
for hopefully 280-320hp 500-550ft-lbs
And finally the noise
Bet you werent expecting that from a diesel

Another update to the blog with relevent information about why i choose
this new drivetrain.
Audi A5 Quattro gearbox,
First & only gearbox that has the front diff mounted this far forward.
Meaning that the engine sit's just in front of the axle as the axle centre line will be 1" behind the axle.
All other quattro box's would have meant the engine sat to far forward and that would mean this conversion
would not be possible as the front evo ix support panel is already mounted 4" further back.
